Do you need timber cut to length? We'll do the hard work for you!
We can cross-cut all of our timber products to length, including our Oak & treated softwood sleepers.
All cross-cutting is to a tolerance of ±2mm. We are only able to offer 90° cuts.
Please note: due to the blade dimensions, approx. 4mm of timber is removed per cut, this is known as the blade kerf E.G. if you start with a 2400mm sleeper and cut off three 600mm lengths, the remaining off-cut will be approx. 588mm long. Please consider this when calculating your requirements.
We will only machine our own timber, if your order requires a lot of machining, please contact us to discuss your requirements.
We are unable to accept returns if products have been cut to order.
When timber has been cut to length we recommend applying end grain preservative to the cut areas. For larger orders that involve a lot of cutting, we recommend our pressure-treatment service. The treatment process takes about one week, price is based on the total volume of timber to be treated, the minimum charge is £80 +VAT (£96 inc. VAT). Contact us for more information.
