These T Hinges have a ‘penny shaped’ round end and is one of our most popular choices for hanging ledged and braced/plank doors.

They are hot forged i.e. drawn to shape, not welded or fabricated and with the knuckle being fashioned in the traditional way it makes for a very strong product.

The traditional way of choosing a hinge size means it should reach two thirds of the way across the door but providing it reaches at least half way across it should carry the weight of most doors with no problems. For especially heavy doors a third hinge can be used (three on one door).

Designed to hang metal framed gates such as metal farm gates, but could have other heavy duty uses. This gate eye is compatible with all 19mm field gate hooks.

When used to hang steel gates, the included nuts should be fitted either side of the vertical stile. The nut positions can be adjusted to level the the gate. For timber framed field gates we recommend using an adjustable bottom fitting instead.

Stainless Steel press fit security collar, designed to prevent gates from being lifted off of a 19mm hook.

This galvanised field gate hinge set has an off-set bottom pivot point (rocker plate) which causes the swinging end of a field gate to rise as it opens. The off-set pivot point causes the gate to return to the centre when not held in the open position.

- The approximate rise (at the swinging end) is 75mm per metre of gate width - e.g. if fitted to a 10' (3.05m) gate, the rise at the swinging end is approx. 229mm.
- Suitable for hanging 75mm thick wooden field gates.
- This hinge this type of hinge can only be fitted between posts (not on the back of posts), which allows the gate to swing forward and backwards.
- The minimum post size that the rocker plate can be fitted to is 175mm.
