Attached the hook of the strainer to an eye bolt (attached to a fence post), then attach the wire you want to strain to the eye of the barrel strainer. Wind the central barrel of the strainer clockwise to tension the wire. When complete, the strainer remains in situ and can be re -tightened if the wire loses tension.
Ratchet Wire Strainers are a specialist product for straining fencing line wire and barbed wire.
To strain the wire: attach the base of the strainer to a post using the fixing hole, feed your wire through the hole in the barrel of the strainer and then wind the barrel with a spanner.
