Birds Mouth Posts are specialist treated softwood posts for Knee Rail Fencing, also known as Trip Rail Fencing. A birds mouth 'V' notch is cut into the top of the post to fit a square knee rail.

Popular rail sizes include: 75mm x 75mm & 100 x 100mm (sold as Square Timber Posts). Rails are fixed in place with metal knee Rail Straps (find them in "fencing materials" > "metal fencing brackets").
