The New Zealand (NZ) Gate Fastener is a basic form of gate catch, typically used to secure field gates. The heavy-duty fastener hook has a spring loaded catch to prevent accidental opening. For extra security a padlock (not included) could be attached through the chain. Galvanised finish.

The use of drop bolts is recommended on most gate installations as it helps to prevent the gate from twisting at the bottom.
The bolt can also be used to hold the gate open if required.

A heavy-duty galvanised double strap bottom band, for hanging a 75mm thick five bar gate.
An M10 x 100mm carriage bolt should be fitted through the slot of this fitting and through the hanging stile of the gate. The slot allows plenty of adjustment to level the gate.
