Somerset Gates
A traditional style wooden 5 bar gate with a planed (smooth) finish, the Somerset benefits from careful attention to detail such as the use of stop chamfers to add a high quality look. The Somerset is strong and built to last.
Standard gate height is 3'7" to the top rail however special heights & widths can be made to order which typically takes 3-4 weeks. If you intend to automate the gate then a reinforced bottom rail can be supplied for added strength and rigidity.
Please note that we do not keep Somerset gates in stock. Typical lead time is 1-2 weeks from order. If you need the Somerset gate by a certain date please contact us to ensure we can get the gate to you on time.

The 2743mm (9') Somerset Gate is a premium quality, traditional style of 5 bar wooden gate. It has a strong morticed and tenoned construction, a tapered top rail which is stronger and heavier at the hanging end, tapering down to a lighter swinging end. This gate has a premium finish; it is made with joinery grade treated softwood, a planed finish, stop chamfered edges and hardwood dowels. The Somerset Gate is perfect for a garden, or a driveway as a single or as part of a pair.
