This 19mm hook to drive is normally used for fitting the bottom part of a standard field gate hinge to a timber gate post. The 19x19x175mm square spike is designed to be driven in with a club/ sledge hammer. This enables the fitter to easily adjust the length of the hook in order to make the gate plumb. A pilot hole must be drilled to avoid splitting the post. Galvanised to prevent rust.

Designed to hang metal framed gates such as metal farm gates, but could have other heavy duty uses. This gate eye is compatible with all 19mm field gate hooks.
When used to hang steel gates, the included nuts should be fitted either side of the vertical stile. The nut positions can be adjusted to level the the gate. For timber framed field gates we recommend using an adjustable bottom fitting instead.
